Hardware Design Engineer/Architect

Job Description:

  • As a key member of Product Security team, design and build critical components of first-of-next connected and autonomous vehicles
  • Design circuits for low to mid-level power, high-quality, and high-reliability
  • System prototype design, bring-up, and debugging functional verification, and manufacturing support
  • Design in the following areas are necessary: high-speed serial communication protocols (USB, PCIE, Ethernet), as well as slower speed (SPI, I2C and UART), design in power circuits, analogy, op-amp sensor design and integration a plus
  • System specification definition and resulting bench level functional characterization
  • Working with and managing suppliers and manufacturing partners

 

Required Skills/Experience

  • Seasoned hardware engineer with 10+ years of experience
  • Experience of building embedded electrical systems ranging from micro controllers to high-end graphic processing, in a high quality/reliability environment
  • Experienced with whole hardware product lifecycle, from requirement collection to product mass production
  • Experience in schematic entry and check as well as experience in working directly with PCB Layout engineers
  • Schematic capture, layout, and routing experience
  • System specification definition and resulting bench level functional characterization
  • Work with and manage suppliers and manufacturing partners
  • Design for harsh operating environments, EMC pre-compliance testing, low to mid-level power, high-quality, and high-reliability

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FPGA design and programming is a plus
  • Experience with designing/shipping automotive-grade electronics is a plus
